Crumble’s writing looked like a text from an ancient magic book: old-fashioned, yet beautiful. He had learned reading back when he had been small, everyone in his family had to learn reading (also reading out loud) in perfection, it was an important skill for them to acquire. His parents and teachers had been very strict about this, but it had never been a problem for him since he had always loved reading the old magic books. Mainly because he was busy looking up new crazy little spells or tricks to annoy his brothers or to quickly defend himself when they planned to bully him again. Well, not really bully… But they were quite harsh at times and Crumble didn’t enjoy these fights as much as they did.
There hadn’t been a need to write things down due to the form of his paws (hard to hold a pen or anything), but it was rather easy to learn because he was such an experienced reader and got along well with the letters. Now that he was writing Crumble considered using pen and paper more often; it could be useful to record his heroic deeds while they were on his mind in every little detail!

There was still hope though. For almost all potions there was a counterpart to reverse everything back to normal. Sadly, it wasn’t just as easy as to take the same ingredients in another order or something. If there wasn’t a direct anti-drink or -spell written down somewhere, you would have to look up the counterparts of each ingredient and mix these together. (By the way, these magical drinks usually taste very bad. Even worse for a mix of the counterparts.)
There was the great book of counterparts which could be found… of course, in the Library of Magic! Clemens was happy that the solution was this easy. He hadn’t heard about the incident with the portal yet… Ouch. Crumble told him about this miserable situation. He hesitated telling him what Mira had done (he figured out something must have happened after Stella’s long talk with Mira… and from what Stella had searched for on the internet he certainly knew what the little spirit had done). So he asked in a more general way what could happen if someone ever took a book from there, maybe this could cause the portal to break?
Clemens laughed. “I can understand people might fear something like this to happen, but haven’t we all tried that yet?” Crumble looked at him in surprise. “Books that you take from the library will simply vanish and return to the library as soon as their time is up. It’s a LIBRARY after all. The books will be taken back automatically. You can extend the time when you visit the library again but all books will finally return back ‘home’ where they belong. This doesn’t cause any trouble with the portal.”
Phew, Crumble felt relieved. Even though that made the question even bigger: what DID cause the portal to break?2 responses to “TDUMS 09/06/2015”

Crumble got to know that Clemens used a potion he had prepared beforehand and had always kept hidden in his clothes for emergency situations. He did never expect such a situation to happen, but better be prepared for anything (I bet you also know the question of taking an umbrella with you or not? If you don’t take it, even if the sun is shining like mad when you leave home, it will most certainly rain later on when you have to get back again. If you DO take the umbrella, it probably won’t rain at all. But you also won’t get rained on for sure. Hm. If you don’t know this problem it’s just me D:)…
The potion had been designed to turn Clemens into whatever creature he needed to become in this situation and HOW LONG he needed to be in this form. Unfortunately, Clemens had prepared this potion very long ago. Very, very long ago. And even though these little magical drinks usually don’t lose any of their abilities if kept in a suited little glass, the feature ‘as long as needed’ seemed to have worn off. Clemens had only realized that short before drinking it, while writing the quick letter. He had heard about this problem before and that’s also why certain potions should be mixed again after a specific time to make sure they would still work correctly.
He had to admit, for now it was too late…One response to “TDUMS 08/06/2015”

Tifa, sometimes it’s nice to play with the reader, in the sense to break a little history when it becomes too magical or too long, or to try to create atmosphere, here you tried :)
Did you come up spontaneously, test more forward, is like taking a breath and then resume the story even more beautiful :))))

When he woke up, Crumble noticed the two girls searching for a spell or cure in lots of different magic books and was doubting they would easily find something. Whatever Clemens had used was meant to get him safely back home and should not quickly be made undone by new magicians. He must have travelled all the way as a bunny and nobody even thought he could be something else. Yet, since the color of his fur was rather unusual for a rabbit, he might count as a ‘magical experiment bunny’, similar to the ones those ‘magicians’ pull out of their hats.
Oh, Clemens was awake, too! Crumble made signs that he should get to the cat basket and indeed the rabbit hopped towards him. Now was to show that he could be a hero when everybody else was clueless what to do! He started talking to the bunny in rabbit language and after a confused look of Clemens and several unsuccessful tries of speaking right (Crumble understood ‘toothpaste’, ‘Chinese restaurant’ and ‘endoplasmatic reticulum’), it finally worked. Maybe he had used some strange accent before?
The cat asked Clemens about what had happened, which magic he had used and how to turn him back into a human. Also, they talked about how dangerous the Black Raven were at the moment. With the help of his gemstone and the spirit inside it, Crumble was able to let the pen he had put next to his basket write down everything on the paper. The tool was hovering above the ground and swiftly moving across the lines.
Before, he had never had the need to write something down, Crumble’s brain worked well enough to remember anything important. But now he had to tell those humans exactly what to do and this was probably the quickest way.2 responses to “TDUMS 07/06/2015”

Jenna took the rabbit on her arms and picked up something else from the ground. “How do you know it’s him?”, Stella wondered. The werewolf-girl showed her what had laid next to the little creature: another postcard just like the one Stella had received. “Because of this”, she added. You have to know that werewolves got better senses than humans and she probably saw this little card from far away… or just followed her instincts.
They hurried to Stella’s apartment to have a closer look at the card: when they put the paperweight on it, the following lines appeared:
“I have to hurry. Will try to turn into a little animal and escape. Please help me when I am back home”
The last words had been scribbled quickly as if he had only had seconds left. The picture on the postcard revealed a photo of his house. He probably didn’t have the time to create something else…
In the meantime, bunny Clemens had fallen asleep, exhausted from what had happened. Crumble curiously sniffed at him and collected a few items next to his basket. Was he preparing for something? The cat watched the rabbit carefully, as if waiting for him to wake up. He yawned. Sleeping bunnies are not known for keeping you well entertained and so Crumble fell asleep as well.2 responses to “TDUMS 06/06/2015”
